NEW NEW NEW!  SmartWare 4.5 Graphical User Interface!

The next generation is almost here!  We are excited and pleased to show pre-release screen shots of the new true GUI (Graphical User Interface) for SmartWare 4.5.  Along with the other major enhancements (see below), this is the most anticipated and welcome upgrade to SmartWare in 10 years. 

This screen shot is the new DataSheet View, replacing the standard-view browse mode that existing users are accustomed to.  Notice the ability to change field width, height, font and font size.  (Click image to see larger image)

Here is an image showing a fairly simple custom view with 3 standard Text Fields, a Combo Drop Down box, an Image Box, Command Button and a Table.  If you click on the image, expand to full size, you will recognize some of the menu options on the pull-down menus.

Those users familiar with the query editor in MS Access will find the new Query Editor very simple to understand and use.  SmartWare Corp has drawn on extensive Industry experience to bring this technology to this product.  You will also note the auto-generation of SQL in the lower-right pane. 

For those experienced SmartWare users that have written their own SPL (Smart Programming Language) code, or for those that want to start developing their own applications, this is the new code editor.  For those experienced C++ or VB programmers, you will notice the power and flexibility this editor has to offer.

SmartWare 4.5 -- SmartWare 4.5 is now shipping  We have been running copies, and testing some of the new stuff.  Included in this version is  client/server, which is a stunning change for most developers and end users alike!  We have already completed upgrading a significant client application to the new client/server version and are excited about the possibilities.  Also, new OLE functionality has been introduced to SmartWare with this version, expanding the usability even further.  Call for upgrade pricing today!

windowsupdate.com -- Well, we have all grown tired of all the news about MS and their apparent lack of concern about Internet security.  We honestly believe that MS is making a go of correcting for bad planning.  If you are running ANY version of Windows 9x, NT, 2000 or XP, you are encouraged to go to the Windows Update Site.  There you will be able to auto-update all of your OS issues, as well as many updates available for the Office line of MS products.  We recommend you visit this site regularly.
